Ocean View Studio, with Full Kitchen. Easy Access to Beach

We are delighted to introduce this plantation studio at the Kapa'a Sands! A plantation-type studio with 464 sq. ft. (364 lot area plus 100 sq.ft. lanai). As you browse through the pictures of this enchanting oceanfront property, we hope you will perceive, and feel as we do, that Kapa'a Sands is indeed a very unique and special place to stay when you visit the Garden Isle. The lush tropical ambiance and tranquil setting of this delightful second-floor studio are simply unsurpassed anywhere on Kauai. The ocean view from inside and on your lanai is simply magnificent. Having a full kitchen including a dishwasher is unique in itself in any ocean view studio on Kaua'i and is indeed ideal for longer stays. Nestled in a private cove near Kapa'a town with its own beach, K Sands, as it is known by its many repeat guests, is said to have both a mystical and magical charm. At night, you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of the surf as the trade winds often softly blow in and on many mornings, the sun, like a giant orange beach ball, rises up on the horizon out of a thousand miles of open ocean.

Kapaa Sands beach in front is swimmable but always use caution at any beach current waves are visible. For shops and restaurants, there’s a lot around that area that’s just a walking distance like a 10-minute walk from the property. There is Kintaro Japanese right in the front of that hotel near the highway and there is Kinipopo Shopping Village that has food places. If you walk along the wall path there will also be a Lava Lava restaurant and the Coconut Marketplace.
Important: This is a privately owned studio that rents for less if you are looking to save money. The unit is cleaned prior to your arrival and stocked with start-up supplies. The studio is cleaned again upon check-out time. If you need new supplies, linens, towels, bed remade and additional spruce up clean, we do offer this additional service for a $70 fee per scheduled day. Please ask if you are interested in this service.

*Early check-in and late check-out must be requested in advance. If Guest does not check out at designated time there will be a penalty of up to one extra night charge.
CANCELATION POLICY: Balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. Cancellation must be received in writing/email. There is a $200 non-refundable cancelation fee should you cancel outside of 60 days prior to your arrival. If cancellation occurs within 60 days of arrival, we will refund the rent paid if we are able to re-rent the condo. We can only refund for the days we are able to re-rent, less the $200 USD cancelation fee and any costs associated to rebook the condo. However, we do try very hard to re-rent it and have sometimes been successful in the past depending on how much lead-time we have.
*Every Kauai Vision property listed is a NON-SMOKING home; be it inside the unit or outside on the lanai (balcony) or hallways. A designated smoking area outdoors & away from the building. There is a $500 fine for smoking. Any costs to remove the smell or damage of the smoke will either be covered by the guest in violation of this policy.
*Guest will be charged $25 if more than 2 garbage bags are left in the unit and extra cleaning if the unit is left excessively dirty or damaged the unit beyond normal wear and tear.

Any tax increases requested by the State of Hawaii will be passed along to guests. This privately-owned vacation condo is operated in full compliance with Hawaii law. "The really very small studio is superbly furnished and it lacks nothing. Bathroom with huge shower and good jet. The bed is comfortable, there is even vinegar l, oil, salt and pepper. There's a folder with great recommendations. The landlords are super nice and very helpful. You can also have a hot plate on request. We stayed there for 1 night and felt comfortable in "Alfs Garage"

"We enjoyed our stay at Kapaa Sands! The unit was in a central location next to many restaurants and shops. Farmers market was active a couple of days during our stay and was a several block walk away. We loved walking to the Lava Lava Beach Club and swimming at the beach there. We thought it was the most peaceful place to post up for the day, not too crowded and the waves were fun for swimming. This is a great stay for people who are early risers and get after their day. However, if you're a light sleeper bring earplugs as there are roosters that like to crow late in the night and really early in the morning, we also had a colicky baby staying in the unit next to us for the last few nights we were there, so we were glad we came prepared with earplugs. Also bring a sleeping mask as the early morning light is bright and the curtains don't block out any light. All those things are out of the hosts control though-we thought the host was lovely, very responsive and kind."

"PERFECT location on Kauai for one week. Walkable to restaurants and a quick drive to grocery and shops and the towns of Kapa'a and Lihu'e. The studio was in good condition and much less dated than comparable ones on the island. View of the beach and a great pool. Kathy was super responsive and helpful. The place was clean and perfect for a couple. 5/5!"

"Great place to get away and recharge the batteries. We enjoyed Kathy's place with a view of the ocean and the sounds of the waves from the balcony. It is a quiet neighborhood, even though we could never dial down the crows of the roosters starting right at 6:00 a.m. (which was fine because our body clocks always got us up before then). It was close to a great local bakery, a chocolate-making class and to the bus line that we used for the first few days."
