This 2nd floor "get away" vacation home offers stunning oceanfront views and tropical breezes. The new homeowner Kathy McCartney is an Hawaii artist and has her tropical work on display. This is one of the best beachfront spots in Kapa'a on private Waipouli Beach situated on the majestic Coconut Coast of Kaua'i. This studio has everything you'll need for a perfect Garden Isle vacation. Located at the popular Islander on the Beach Resort with an oceanfront swimming pool, hot tub and Tiki Hut bar, discover for yourself all the fun things to see and do walking distance away. This resort is next door to an open air restaurant and bar, "Lava Lava" featuring live music nightly, great food and specialty cocktails.There are many more shops and restaurants at the Coconut Marketplace just steps away on the other side of the parking lot. Islander also fronts a beach path for walking/running/cycling that goes for miles!
Unit #249 is a 2nd floor, direct oceanfront unit! It offers direct views of the Pacific and is in a great location in the complex. Wake up to the most beautiful sunrises and some early evenings catch a romantic orange moonrise. Enjoy the sounds of the surf right outside your slider door. Not a bad place to sit back, relax on the lanai, and drink your morning coffee! January 2026 the owner purchased NEW tall table and tall chairs so you can see the beautiful views over the lanai railing.
Enjoy the many unique features and amenities of Unit 249. You will delight in the ambiance of this tastefully decorated unit with its tropical touches, and that special feeling of island hospitality called aloha! Spend carefree days exploring the mystical and magical Island of Kaua'i. Dine at one of our recommended establishments or take in the fabulous lu'au at Kilohana Plantation, and every night you will return to the serenity of 249 and be lulled to sleep by the soothing tone of the surf. You can enjoy poolside BBQs and a lovely lanai overlooking the water.
For your convenience, #249 includes: high efficiency January 2026 NEW Fujitsu A/C and ceiling fan; free WiFi with wireless router; large flat screen mounted Smart TV; microwave; coffee maker; December 2025 new fridge and freezer that holds plenty of food (there are two ice makers on property); all necessary kitchen utensils; all necessary linens (bath, kitchen, and beach towels); iron and ironing board; hot tub (shared) and pool (shared).
Please note there are no elevators on property. Free parking for our guests. This condo complex is centrally located to many popular island destinations. It's beautifully situated on its own private Waipouli Beach. By car, it's approximately 12 minutes to Lihue airport, 50 minutes to Hanalei, 45 minutes to Poipu, and 6 minutes to the east entrance of Sleeping Dragon (Nounou Mountain) trail. Kaua'i, the Garden Isle, has so many beautiful sights to take in and Kapa'a is a great starting point to them all.
Important: We are not part of the hotel reservation system, there is no daily room service. You do have use of the common grounds, free parking as our guest, pool, hot tub, and pool bar. This is a privately owned studio that rents for less if you are looking to save money. The unit is cleaned prior to your arrival and stocked with start-up supplies. The studio is cleaned again upon check-out time. If you need new supplies, linens, towels, bed remade and additional spruce up clean, we do offer this additional service for a $70 fee per scheduled day. Please ask if you are interested in this service. If you need to do laundry there are Laundromats only a six to seven minute drive from the property.

Other Notes:
* Non-smoking in the condo, including lanai and hallways. A $500 fine + damage costs if violated. A designated outdoor smoking area is available.
* A $25 fee applies if more than 2 garbage bags are left behind. Additional cleaning or damage beyond normal wear and tear may result in extra charges.
* A $200 fee will be charged for the replacement of a lost key.
Cancellation Policy:
* $200 non-refundable fee for cancellations made more than 90 days before arrival.
* Within 90 days: Refunds issued only if the unit is re-rented for canceled nights (minus $400 and any rebooking costs).
* All cancellations must be submitted in writing/email.

"Kathy's condo was fantastic for my husband and I. Great location. I liked how central it was on the island. There were a ton of great food options. We even walked to a farmers market happening in the shopping center parking lot near by. The pool bar was delightful and other guests were very friendly. Kauai is a magical place (I highly recommend doing some hiking) and we enjoyed coming back here each night after a day full of adventures. 5 stars "

"Unit is exactly as described. We were informed of construction being done on the building (not our specific unit) a few days prior to our stay and expressed concern regarding the noise. Host was responsive and went out of their way to find us alternate accommodation, but ultimately we decided to stick with this unit and we were glad we did. "My husband and I decided to stay here for our honeymoon and it couldn't have been more perfect!!! The location is very central to everything on the island, multiple (really good) restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The pool, hot tub, and pool side bar were great to relax by after adventurous days on the island. Kathy was very accommodating, we had no issues at all!! The unit itself was perfect for our stay and had everything we could've needed. Very clean and the view was unbeatable! We forgot to bring beach towels so it was great that she provided some. We noticed that other rental units on the island charged for parking at the hotels, but a parking pass was included in this rental and it was great to have!! We had such a wonderful stay here and would recommend to anyone!!"
