We are delighted to introduce this plantation studio at the Kapa'a Sands! A plantation-type studio with 464 sq. ft. (364 lot area plus 100 sq.ft. lanai). As you browse through the pictures of this enchanting oceanfront property, we hope you will perceive, and feel as we do, that Kapa'a Sands is indeed a very unique and special place to stay when you visit the Garden Isle. The lush tropical ambiance and tranquil setting of this delightful ground-floor studio are simply unsurpassed anywhere on Kauai. The ocean view from inside and on your lanai is simply magnificent. Having a full kitchen including a dishwasher is unique in itself in any ocean view studio on Kaua'i and is indeed ideal for longer stays. Nestled in a private cove near Kapa'a town with its own beach, K Sands, as it is known by its many repeat guests, is said to have both a mystical and magical charm. At night, you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of the surf as the trade winds often softly blow in and on many mornings, the sun, like a giant orange beach ball, rises up on the horizon out of a thousand miles of open ocean.

Kapaa Sands beach in front is swimmable but always use caution at any beach current waves are visible. For shops and restaurants, theres a lot around that area thats just a walking distance like a 10-minute walk from the property. There is Kintaro Japanese right in the front of that hotel near the highway and there is Kinipopo Shopping Village that has food places. If you walk along the wall path there will also be a Lava Lava restaurant and the Coconut Marketplace.
Important: This is a privately owned studio that rents for less if you are looking to save money. The unit is cleaned prior to your arrival and stocked with start-up supplies. The studio is cleaned again upon check-out time. If you need new supplies, linens, towels, bed remade and additional spruce up clean, we do offer this additional service for a $70 fee per scheduled day. Please ask if you are interested in this service.

*Early check-in and late check-out must be requested in advance. If Guest does not check out at designated time there will be a penalty of up to one extra night charge.
Cancellation Policy:
* $200 non-refundable fee for cancellations made more than 90 days before arrival.
* Within 90 days: Refunds issued only if the unit is re-rented for canceled nights (minus $400 and any rebooking costs).
* All cancellations must be submitted in writing/email.
*Every Kauai Vision property listed is a NON-SMOKING home; be it inside the unit or outside on the lanai (balcony) or hallways. A designated smoking area outdoors & away from the building. There is a $500 fine for smoking. Any costs to remove the smell or damage of the smoke will either be covered by the guest in violation of this policy.
*Please note that a $200 fee will be applied for the replacement of a lost key.
*Guest will be charged $25 if more than 2 garbage bags are left in the unit and extra cleaning if the unit is left excessively dirty or damaged the unit beyond normal wear and tear.

Any tax increases requested by the State of Hawaii will be passed along to guests. This privately-owned vacation condo is operated in full compliance with Hawaii law. "Location! Being right on the waterfront was everything we hoped it would be, able to walk right down to the ocean, and also an easy walk to shops. The lush surroundings gave us all the tropical vibes we were hoping for. We had a lot of rain during our stay but with the deep covered patio we were still able to sit outdoors and enjoy our surroundings. We had an issue with the dishwasher and when we notified the owner she sent someone immediately to fix it. She was also generous with recommendations when I told her we wanted a special breakfast spot. This place isn't fancy, but it was as represented and there were no surprises. The central location made it easy to visit other parts of the island. The pool area looked nice although rain kept us from using it. There was always a place to park which was great. Lots of chickens! Although small, it was well-designed with room to put suitcases under the bed and lots of wall hooks; everything we needed to cook. We would stay here again."

"We have stayed here many times, and love it for the view, quiet and closeness to the restaurants and amentias of the bigger resorts just by walking down the beach for a few minutes. It's easy to get to all parts of the island from the Kapaa location, and the managing company does an excellent job making sure you have everything you need and responding to any questions while staying there quickly and professionally. "We absolutely loved our stay! The ocean views were spectacular and the sounds were so soothing and peaceful. The unit is perfect for a couple and having a full kitchen (including a full-size coffeemaker!) made our meal times and choices flexible. The description says that no beach items are included (other than beach towels) but that other guests may have left some things behind; we found snorkel equipment, chairs, boogie and coolers all there! The bathroom is small but fine for two people. The on-site pool was very nice and frequently we were the only ones using it. Location couldn't be better; there is a small beach just steps away and so many great restaurants and shops in walking distance. We were over at the Coconut Marketplace almost daily; they have a farmer's market a couple of times a week and other fun activities as well. And I'll mention the view one more time; it was so beautiful!"
