Ocean View Studio, with Full Kitchen. Easy Access to Beach

We are delighted to introduce this plantation studio at the Kapa'a Sands! A plantation-type studio with 464 sq. ft. (364 lot area plus 100 sq.ft. lanai). As you browse through the pictures of this enchanting oceanfront property, we hope you will perceive, and feel as we do, that Kapa'a Sands is indeed a very unique and special place to stay when you visit the Garden Isle. The lush tropical ambiance and tranquil setting of this delightful second-floor studio are simply unsurpassed anywhere on Kauai. The ocean view from inside and on your lanai is simply magnificent. Having a full kitchen including a dishwasher is unique in itself in any ocean view studio on Kaua'i and is indeed ideal for longer stays. Nestled in a private cove near Kapa'a town with its own beach, K Sands, as it is known by its many repeat guests, is said to have both a mystical and magical charm. At night, you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of the surf as the trade winds often softly blow in and on many mornings, the sun, like a giant orange beach ball, rises up on the horizon out of a thousand miles of open ocean.

Kapaa Sands beach in front is swimmable but always use caution at any beach current waves are visible. For shops and restaurants, there’s a lot around that area that’s just a walking distance like a 10-minute walk from the property. There is Kintaro Japanese right in the front of that hotel near the highway and there is Kinipopo Shopping Village that has food places. If you walk along the wall path there will also be a Lava Lava restaurant and the Coconut Marketplace.
Important: This is a privately owned studio that rents for less if you are looking to save money. The unit is cleaned prior to your arrival and stocked with start-up supplies. The studio is cleaned again upon check-out time. If you need new supplies, linens, towels, bed remade and additional spruce up clean, we do offer this additional service for a $70 fee per scheduled day. Please ask if you are interested in this service.

*Early check-in and late check-out must be requested in advance. If Guest does not check out at designated time there will be a penalty of up to one extra night charge.
CANCELATION POLICY: Balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. Cancellation must be received in writing/email. There is a $200 non-refundable cancelation fee should you cancel outside of 60 days prior to your arrival. If cancellation occurs within 60 days of arrival, we will refund the rent paid if we are able to re-rent the condo. We can only refund for the days we are able to re-rent, less the $200 USD cancelation fee and any costs associated to rebook the condo. However, we do try very hard to re-rent it and have sometimes been successful in the past depending on how much lead-time we have.
*Every Kauai Vision property listed is a NON-SMOKING home; be it inside the unit or outside on the lanai (balcony) or hallways. A designated smoking area outdoors & away from the building. There is a $500 fine for smoking. Any costs to remove the smell or damage of the smoke will either be covered by the guest in violation of this policy.
*Guest will be charged $25 if more than 2 garbage bags are left in the unit and extra cleaning if the unit is left excessively dirty or damaged the unit beyond normal wear and tear.

Any tax increases requested by the State of Hawaii will be passed along to guests. This privately-owned vacation condo is operated in full compliance with Hawaii law. General Excise and Transient Accommodation taxes are collected and transmitted to the State of Hawaii on all rentals: Hawaii Department of Taxation: GE/TA #:090-421-7600-01, TMK #:430020020010

"We really enjoyed our stay in this little studio with most everything you might need. It was clean, and just as described. Upstairs unit with a nice deck with a view of the ocean where we would start every morning sipping on a cup of tea and listening to the birds and sounds of the ocean. I loved the old style glass window panels that you can open and close to let the breeze in. I found the bed was rather firm, and the bathroom a bit tight, but clean and in a good working order. Overall a great stay, would rent it again!"

"We very much enjoyed staying here! The proximity to the beach was AMAZING and we saw lots of critters in the tide pools at sunset. The space was very clean and perfect for two people. It was nice to have a kitchen, as well as a laundry room for the units. Hosts were very responsive, too. We will definitely return in the future! :)"

"Everything was as described and well worth the money paid! Kathy followed up more than once early in the week to make everything was going great. Only downsides were a smaller bathroom (the trade-off for having a full kitchen), and the beach directly in front is rather small due to logs blocking the rest of the beach. No fault of the host and the longer stretch is a short 5 min walk away. Overall a great value for the place"

"At first I was worried that the apartment would be too old, but it turned out to be so cozy and in keeping with the vibe of the resort that I would gladly stay there for at least a month. The apartment has everything you need to live, even a garbage disposal and a dishwasher (which is often missing in modern apartments). I especially liked the view from the balcony and the sound of the ocean. We were there in September and despite the heat during the day, the lack of air conditioning did not bother us at all. I also liked the host who always responded to my messages super quickly"

"My husband & I stayed a week in Kaua'i and Kathy's place did not disappoint. The pictures don't quite do it justice. The views of the ocean and the luscious garden are beautiful! The small beach is only about 50 ft away. The complex is very - clean, quiet, well-maintained. Perfect location; in walking distance to shops and restaurants, and central to anywhere you want to explore on the island. Kathy was very communicative and stayed connected. The place itself is clean and inviting; kitchen has all the essentials, bathroom is small but functional, bed is super comfortable and views throughout. Sleeping with the sound of the waves crashing was so awesome! The fans were enough to keep us cool (a nice gentle breeze occasionally blows through the place). Sitting on the lanai was very relaxing (no cushions though) & the view is amazing! The remotes did not work so we had to operate TV and box manually. Overall, this is a great rental for the price! Do not hesitate, you won't regret it!"

"The really very small studio is superbly furnished and it lacks nothing. Bathroom with huge shower and good jet. The bed is comfortable, there is even vinegar l, oil, salt and pepper. There's a folder with great recommendations. The landlords are super nice and very helpful. You can also have a hot plate on request. We stayed there for 1 night and felt comfortable in "Alfs Garage"
