We are delighted to introduce this plantation studio at the Kapa'a Sands! A plantation-type studio with 464 sq. ft. (364 lot area plus 100 sq.ft. lanai). As you browse through the pictures of this enchanting oceanfront property, we hope you will perceive, and feel as we do, that Kapa'a Sands is indeed a very unique and special place to stay when you visit the Garden Isle. The lush tropical ambiance and tranquil setting of this delightful second-floor studio are simply unsurpassed anywhere on Kauai. The ocean view from inside and on your lanai is simply magnificent. Having a full kitchen including a dishwasher is unique in itself in any ocean view studio on Kaua'i and is indeed ideal for longer stays. Nestled in a private cove near Kapa'a town with its own beach, K Sands, as it is known by its many repeat guests, is said to have both a mystical and magical charm. At night, you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of the surf as the trade winds often softly blow in and on many mornings, the sun, like a giant orange beach ball, rises up on the horizon out of a thousand miles of open ocean.

Kapaa Sands beach in front is swimmable but always use caution at any beach current waves are visible. For shops and restaurants, theres a lot around that area thats just a walking distance like a 10-minute walk from the property. There is Kintaro Japanese right in the front of that hotel near the highway and there is Kinipopo Shopping Village that has food places. If you walk along the wall path there will also be a Lava Lava restaurant and the Coconut Marketplace.
Important: This is a privately owned studio that rents for less if you are looking to save money. The unit is cleaned prior to your arrival and stocked with start-up supplies. The studio is cleaned again upon check-out time. If you need new supplies, linens, towels, bed remade and additional spruce up clean, we do offer this additional service for a $70 fee per scheduled day. Please ask if you are interested in this service.

*Early check-in and late check-out must be requested in advance. If Guest does not check out at designated time there will be a penalty of up to one extra night charge.
Cancellation Policy:
* $200 non-refundable fee for cancellations made more than 90 days before arrival.
* Within 90 days: Refunds issued only if the unit is re-rented for canceled nights (minus $400 and any rebooking costs).
* All cancellations must be submitted in writing/email.
*Every Kauai Vision property listed is a NON-SMOKING home; be it inside the unit or outside on the lanai (balcony) or hallways. A designated smoking area outdoors & away from the building. There is a $500 fine for smoking. Any costs to remove the smell or damage of the smoke will either be covered by the guest in violation of this policy.
*Please note that a $200 fee will be applied for the replacement of a lost key.
*Guest will be charged $25 if more than 2 garbage bags are left in the unit and extra cleaning if the unit is left excessively dirty or damaged the unit beyond normal wear and tear.

Any tax increases requested by the State of Hawaii will be passed along to guests. This privately-owned vacation condo is operated in full compliance with Hawaii law. "Great condo in the ideal location for us. Unit was clean, compact with a full kitchen, roomy lanai, and ocean views. We were pleased with beach access and had the wind been different, we would have swam right in front of the property. Kathy's team was super responsive and details were timely and accurate. "This is wonderfully located to the shopping/groceries, the Farmer's Market (twice a week) and great restaurants! Grounds are well manicured and everyone was kind and responsive! We had a beautiful view of the ocean and the waves we could hear all night with the breeze flowing through the room. This was a wonderful place for us to relax on the lanai and watch a peeping view of the sun coming up while drinking Kauai's coffee. Well needed break and this was a great place to melt."

"The studio apartment was in the perfect location- walkable to many restaurants, coffee, beaches, grocery, as well as convenient to travel north or south for day trips! The lanai was the perfect space for morning coffee, enjoying a good book, or just listening to the waves. Loved hearing the ocean sounds at night while sleeping- didn't even need my sound machine! Kathy was great at communicating and fast to respond to any of my inquiries. As others have said, the place is a bit dated and could use a refresh, but I think a lot of the wear and tear is simply due to being so beautifully close to the ocean and sea salt in the air. Otherwise, it is in a beautiful location and very quiet and peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of crowded resorts. I would recommend staying here!"

"The apartment is in a very good location, equidistant from the north and south shore, and with nice walking areas by the coast. It has the basics for a comfortable stay and a wonderful view. The deck was the place to be for our morning coffee or to sit and watch the ocean, feel the wind, and listen to the roosters! The beach right across is small, but it gives you a private spot to be and enjoy the water, especially if it's not very rough."

"We really enjoyed our stay in this little studio with most everything you might need. It was clean, and just as described. Upstairs unit with a nice deck with a view of the ocean where we would start every morning sipping on a cup of tea and listening to the birds and sounds of the ocean. I loved the old style glass window panels that you can open and close to let the breeze in. I found the bed was rather firm, and the bathroom a bit tight, but clean and in a good working order. Overall a great stay, would rent it again!"
