The beach is yards from the complex and you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves. the restaurants which are in the immediate area are great, we particularly loved "The sleeping giant". "I recently stayed at Kathy's unit on the Islanders on the Beach Resort in Kauai and had a truly wonderful experience. The location is absolutely unbeatable-right on the ocean, with the sound of waves lulling you to sleep every night. It's a perfect central spot on the island, making day trips to the North Shore or Waimea Canyon easy and convenient. The unit itself was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like beach chairs, a cooler, and a small kitchenette. The bed was comfy, the AC worked well (though the ocean breeze often made it unnecessary), and I loved sitting out on the lanai with a cup of coffee in the morning. The resort grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush tropical landscaping and a relaxing pool/tub. Communication with the host was excellent-friendly, responsive, and helpful."
